Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – AROUMD – SIDI CHAMHAROUCH – TOUBKAL REFUGE.
Departure by private car from Marrakech at around 9 am to 2 hours drive south along canyons and overpasses stimulant for the Berber population of Imlil (1740m), known as Little Morocco 'Chamonix' at the upper level foothills of the Western High Atlas Mountains, a trail trails main branches in all directions.
Here we leave our vehicle to take some 4km. south to the People Aroumd Berber (Aremd) (1843m) and the hamlets of Taourirt, Targa, and Imoula up and down the slopes Stark, the magnificent Western High Atlas peaks of the massif the Toubkal immediately before us. We will stop at Aroumd to visit this rather singular village in the Assif Aït Mizane Valley, built seemingly house upon house big brunette a spur, overlooking ancient irrigated terraced fields of fruit trees and vegetables.
We continue from there by 8 miles. equal to the picturesque village of Sidi-Chamharouch, a Berber village set beside a waterfall and a small stream, again with its adobe houses, apparently built somewhat chaotically one into another. This town is a place of pilgrimage for devout Muslims, and where there is a marabout shrine – forbidden to non-Muslims and says it is a relic a pre-Islamic religious cult. We take a break for a picnic, in the face of powerful Jbel Toubkal, at 4167m the highest peak in North Africa before going to the Toubkal Refuge for our dinner and overnight at the refuge.
DAY 2: TOUBKAL Refuge – Toubkal Summit Jbel – SIDI CHAMHAROUCH – AROUMD – Imlil — Marrakech.
A very early breakfast at Figure 6 in the morning, reaching, after three hours non-technical climb, but steep, the peak high in the Maghreb (4167m). The view from here is simply breathtaking. This increase is remarkable and see what has gone so far to. The first recorded climb this summit, in 1923, was conducted by the French mountaineers V. Berger, M. Doubleau and Segonzae Marques, serious hikers and many have since made the effort highly rewarded.
Day 2 of this increase can be very long and if possible, we recommend the option of taking three days of the rise of Mount Toubkal to really enjoy the experience.
Whenever you're ready, take the South or South Ikkhibi Cirque of a single – with your guide — 2 to 3 hours descent back to the shelter for our picnic. Now headed north along heavily descending, zigzagging trails of the higher slopes of the Valley Assif n'Ouagounss n'Isouhouanem towards Berber village of Sidi Chamharouch (3106m). Before entering the village, we noticed a tree sacred to the local Berbers, in the hanging strips of fabric colors and stones are piled around the trunk. We descend over the valley of Assif Aït Mizane, trail zig-zag around the gray granite and basalt rocks 8km notable people Aroumd (Aremd) (1840m), commanded by one of the most fertile valleys of the High Atlas Mountains with terraced, plots and irrigated fields of corn, onions and fruit trees on all sides.
Here we will stop for our picnic before continuing along the valley floor, thence to well-defined zig-zag mule track over the river about 4 km. to arrive around 5 pm, after a long day activity of Back in the Berber village of Imlil and a welcome drink or two of mint tea at the home of our greatest guide Mohammed Ait Idar before returning to Marrakech and arrival at 7pm.
